We appologize for the inconvenience and disappointment this may cause as we wanted to ensure this event was a great experience and didn’t receive enough commitment before hand. we will reschedule for this summer to give us more time to get the word out and align schedules. :)

Rules for 3x3 Tournament

$15 per player over 18+, Free for all players under 18. Double elimination tournament where each team must lose twice to be eliminated. Teams continue competing through a winners bracket after their first loss, and move into a losers bracket for a second chance. The last remaining team from each bracket meets in the championship, ensuring every team gets at least two games.

Games are played 3-on-3 to 15 points or 10 minutes, whichever is first. Possessions begin with a check at the top, and teams must clear the ball beyond the arc after changes of possession. Scoring is 1s and 2s. Sportsmanship is required, remember this is a charity event.

1. Team Format

  • Teams consist of 3 players on the court.

  • Teams may roster up to 4 players total (1 substitute).

  • Players must play only on one team.

2. Game Length & Winning Conditions

  • Games are played to 15 points (win by 1) Or a 10-minute running clock

  • If tied at the end of regulation, the first team to score 2 points in overtime wins.

  • Inside the arc = 1 point; Behind the arc = 2 points

3. Sportsmanship & Conduct

  • Common fouls are called similarly to full-court basketball. No free throws.

  • Respect toward referees, opponents, and staff is required.

  • Unsportsmanlike behavior may result in warnings or removal from the tournament.

  • This is a community-focused event — fun and fair play come first.

4. Possession Rules (“Clear It”)

  • All possessions start with a check ball at the top of the key.

  • After a made basket, the defending team takes possession.

  • The ball must be cleared beyond the 3-point line before attempting to score.

5. Substitutions & Timeouts

  • Substitutions can occur during any dead ball.

  • Players may sub freely, but must be quick to keep games moving.

  • Each team is allowed one 30-second timeout per game.
